National Climate Change Actions

Summarized Information derived from Nationally determined contributions (NDCs) submitted by parties

Emissions mitigation: Reduce GHG emissions by 32% (in relation to GHG emissions BAU levels (2010)) by 2025 and reduce GHG emissions by 45% (in relation to GHG emissions BAU levels (2010)) by 2030 conditional to external support in the sectors of energy, transport and waste. Adaptation: Priority areas : 1) communities’ livelihoods and infrastructure from sea-level rise, sea surges, typhoons and rainfall intensity; 2) Water and food security issues from changing rainfall patterns and ocean acidification; 3) Health issues from rising temperatures and prolonged drought periods, as well as the potential for increasing peak wind speeds and changes to ocean circulation patterns.
