The CVF regional meeting for the MENA region began this Thursday, 28 May in Geneva, Switzerland, together with support from the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the UN at Geneva and the local United Nations Development Programme office. This is the last of a series of regional consultations that began in 2014, in Costa Rica. The technical regional activity for MENA is a two-day event gathering leading government climate change policy experts from countries across the region, including Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Tunisia, Sudan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Yemen. Representatives from a range of international organizations and diplomatic missions are also participating. The meeting aims to identify and promote headline climate change policy priorities for vulnerable developing countries of the region.
