The Dominican Republic is a tropical island country located in the Caribbean.

Climate Change Policies

Reduce GHG emissions by 25% (in relation to GHG emissions BAU levels (2010)) by 2030 conditional to external support in sectors of energy, industrial processes and product use, agriculture, waste and land use, land use change and forestry.

Adaptation: Priority Focus Areas:

1) Ecosystem-Based Adaptation and Resilience of Ecosystems;

2) Increase of Adaptive Capacity and Decrease of Territorial and Sectoral Vulnerability;

3) Integrated Water Management;

4) Health + 5 other highlighted focus areas.
