Barbados is a tropical island country located in the Caribbean.
Climate Change Policies
Reduce GHG emissions by 37% (in relation to GHG emissions BAU levels (2008)) by 2025 and reduce GHG emissions by 44% (in relation to GHG emissions BAU levels (2008)) by 2030 conditional to external support in the sectors of energy and waste.
Adaptation: Priority Sectors/Programs:
1) Regional Monitoring and Evaluation System for Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) in the Caribbean Tourism Sector;
2) Water Resource Management & Flood Resilience CCA Programme;
3) Coastal Risk Assessment Programme;
4) Piloting CCA to Protect human Health Project (Global Project by WHO/UNDP & GEF funded); 1 other highlighted program.
