Fiji is a tropical archipelago located in the Pacific.

Climate Change Policies

Reduce GHG emissions by 30% (in relation to GHG emissions BAU levels (2013)) by 2030 conditional to external support in the energy sector.

Adaptation: Priority Action:

1) Develop an integrated approach and policy and operational level to effectively address climate change;

2) Ensure that buildings constructed in urban and rural areas are cyclone resistant;

3) Strengthen the role of local governments in building resilience;

4) Develop greater understanding of the impacts of climate change in order to better plan for long term development + 3 other highlighted priority action.
