Bangladesh Climate Vulnerable Forum 2011
Dhaka, Bangladesh – 13-14 November 2011
The Bangladesh Climate Vulnerable Forum was the CVF’s second major gathering and took place at Dhaka, Bangladesh in November 2011. It drew high representatives from 19 governments, including Heads of Government, Former Heads of State, and Ministers. The Forum adopted a 14-point Dhaka Declaration that was subsequently presented by CVF Chair Bangladesh as a powerful input of vulnerable countries to the High-Level segment of the UN Climate Change Conference at Durban, South Africa (COP17) the following month. The Forum dealt with issues relating to adaptation, mitigation, finance, technology & capacity building as well as laying out reference modalities and a short-term agenda for forward activities of the CVF.
